Seye Bassir
Biography:
Bassir is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking, project and infrastructure finance. Prior to joining LCM, Bassir was the Investment Director at Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) - the institution that manages the Danish Climate Investment Fund. Mr. Bassir has provided project finance modeling and advisory services to various companies and consortia; through which he has established a high-level working relationship with various American and European institutional investment funds. Mr. Bassir holds an Executive Certificate in Infrastructure in a Market Economy from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, an MBA degree from the University of Kansas, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria
Damilola Agboola
Biography:
A co-founder of LoftytInc, Dami Agboola is a seasoned developer of social impact and capital projects that has helped bring innovation, and innovative teams, ideas and technologies to young Entrepreneurs in Africa. Dami holds degrees in Management, Business Administration and Supply Chain from the University of Houston, Houston Texas. Dami is a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEI), Project Management Institute (PMI), and Construction Industry Institute (CII) with multiple years of professional experience in the Oil and Gas Industry having worked on Major Capital Projects such as the Escravous Gas to Liquid Project in Nigeria, the Lianzi Project in Angola and the Papa Terra Tension Well Leg Platform in Brazil and more recently as a National Program Controls Manager at Google.
Idris Ayodeji Bello
Biography:
The 'Afropreneur' (entrepreneur with an African focus), as he self-describes, Idris Ayodeji Bello is a Partner at LoftyInc Allied Partners Limited and co-founder of The Wennovation Hub, an innovation platform based in Nigeria, that has successfully accelerated the launch of several technology start-ups in social impact sectors. He is also a Founding Partner at Loftyinc Capital Management. A first-class honors graduate of Computer Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, he has an M.Sc in Computer Science & Data Mining from the University of Houston; an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Strategy from Rice University in Houston and an M.Sc in Global Health Science from the University of Oxford, where he was a 2011 recipient of The Lord Weidenfeld Scholarship for demonstrating remarkable potential as a future leader from an emerging economy. Idris spent the greater part of a decade working at Chevron Corporation and ExxonMobil USA, where he led several large upstream technology projects across the USA and Sub-Saharan Africa. Idris has also worked with the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative where he played a major role in the deployment and evaluation of Swaziland’s first mobile health patient appointment reminder system as part of the country’s National AIDS Program. Listed among CNN’s Top Ten African Technology Voices, he is a Singularity University Impact Fellow, Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance Associate, Clinton Global Initiative University Fellow, MIT Global Start-up Fellow, SAP Ashoka Global Changemakers Award Winner, Dell Technology Award Winner, StartingBloc Innovation Fellow, and a Nigeria Leadership Initiative Future Leader. As a leader, Idris has mentored and catalyzed scores of contributors across the growing African landscape and is an angel investor and advisor to several African startups including Andela, Flutterwave, RelianceHMO, among others. He continues to devote his efforts to the development of innovation-driven, technology-enabled social enterprises that empower the underserved and develop transformative ideas to change lives on the African continent. Michael Oluwagbemi
Biography:
Michael Oluwagbemi is Co-founder & Executive Partner at LoftyInc Allied Partners Limited (operator of the Wennovation Hub based in Lagos, Nigeria and LoftyInc Capital Management USA) and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Electrical Engineering at Prairie View A&M University; Michael Oluwagbemi also earned a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, USA. He holds a Masters in Business Administration in International Management from the University of London, United Kingdom. Michael has extensive experience with over a decade in venture support and development, project development and currently oversees LoftyInc Allied Partners Limited and its Venture Capital arm, LoftyInc Capital Management among many other entrepreneurial endeavors. LoftyInc is a project and business development company that has been instrumental to launching several impact start-ups including Fluttwerwave, Andela, Printivo, Hutbay, Fuelmetric, and Opacus. Michael is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas as well as in Nigeria (COREN), and a certified Project Management Professional. Michael previously worked at ExxonMobil and WorleyParsons Corporation. He is the Chairman of the Essentials Committee of the Nigeria Content Consultative Forum of the Nigeria Content Development Monitoring Board. A rancher-farmer, Michael resides in Abuja, and enjoys swimming, golfing, reading and writing when he is not traveling and spending time with his family.
Marsha Wulff
Biography:
Ms. Wulff is an early-stage tech venture investor and business mentor. She has lived and worked internationally, including India, China, South America and many parts of Africa. Her business and investment acumen developed while working as an entrepreneur in the 1970’s, a VP of investments for a US securities broker/dealer in the 1980’s, and in the 1990’s as Finance Director for a medical system and as Corporate Communications Director for Pioneer Natural Resources. Since 1997, she has been a private equity, social impact investor, with a focus on African business development via joint ventures, global trade, private financings and grant fundings. She co-owns a superfood farm and processing center in Uganda and has advised the Loftyinc Ltd group of Nigeria since 2009. She advises Stanford’s Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies, helped establish the Frontier Market Scouts Program of Middlebury Institute that links impact investors to social entrepreneurs and she initiated the Geneva-based Bamboo Finance investment into South Africa’s CareCross Health Group. She has vetted thousands of venture proposals, helped establish dozens of businesses and co-founded several investor networks. She earned her Executive MBA at SMU in Dallas, Texas
