Business Manager (Wennovation Hub)

Wennovation Hub is seeking a results-driven Business Manager to join our Team. This is a Senior Executive role and, in this role, You will be tasked with leading strategies to increase the operational and financial efficiency of the company through innovative program design and profitable partnerships. The primary objective for this role is to grow the revenue base of the organisation and ensure profitability through programmes & events, sponsorships, strategic partnerships and the co-work community.


Business Development functions by identifying new business opportunities for the company and converting it to sales in order to ensure a continued increase in revenue and sustainable growth

Innovate and create new ideas using information and communication technology.

Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage strategic partnerships in Lagos, Nigeria and

around West Africa with Corporates and Government

Seek funding partnerships that support African entrepreneurs with an existing business or

just an idea

Design and implement incubation, entrepreneurship and capacity building programs for

startups who create solutions for problems in Africa

Lead strategic business initiatives, startup support and early-stage funding

Support the management by providing financial, operational and human resources functions

as assigned

Win and deliver business results and build our reputation further; work with all departments

to secure the necessary resources to put in place actions that would achieve the overall vision

Design and implement sustainable business and marketing strategies and plans for the


Manage the strategic and tactical direction of our online and offline business development

efforts to drive growth targets through strategic partnerships, data-driven marketing,

demand campaigns, and service positioning

Prepare annual revenue projects and set new objectives to achieve business growth and

profitability in a timely manner

Lead research for products and service improvements; prepare business intelligence

reports, and present innovative solutions to develop new business lines


Over 4 years’ experience in Business Development within the Ecosystem

Cognate experience in building partnerships with public and private sector clients that

generate revenue

Knowledge in programs management is mandatory

Experience in innovation, co-work and a matrix environment

Excellent proposal and report writing skills

Good communication, negotiation skills, presentation and facilitation skills

Proactive and results-oriented.

Enthusiasm for the subject matter. A can-do solution-oriented attitude that thrives in a fast-

paced, collaborative environment. Self-starter able to see what needs to get done and

motivate individuals to get it done

Attention to detail in communications, scheduling, interviews, research, and documentation

MBA is desirable but not required

Project Management certification is an added advantage

Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)

Strong analytical ability and outstanding organisational Problem-solving aptitude and leadership skills

Proficient ability to manage complex budgets
